How have I accessed Media recently, how have I interacted with Media and how has it involved me? on Prezi
Looking further into how i reach my Audience..
it's thought that because we interact with media everyday, as an audience we can be manipulated very easily, whether it be into purchasing something, or even into believing a certain idea without any real evidence to back up our opinions, simply because of what we may view or hear through television/radio/word-of-mouth/internet etc. For example, violent crimes have increased over the past 20/30 years, correlating the development in computer games which have become more obscene (more violence, nudity, drink and drug use), and are being used by younger people despite the restrictive certificates given (to both film and games), some could assume that the influence of violent content could influence younger people to commit crimes, it could be desensitising them to violent/destructive imagery and actions.
While some critics would say that the media now has less influence over how we feel and act, as we are now more knowledgable about what is happening around us, we are more likely to make informative opinions and decisions; we seek information and have better access to it.
